Zippers hate me. This is a true story. More than once this week have (coat) zippers seen me, and then became irreparably stuck. Either snagged on fabric, or just stuck. FOREVER.

I know what you are thinking, Reader, “Rachel, this story sucks.”

Yes it does. But you are going to have to deal with a crappy story because that is all I have to offer today. My life is relatively un-interesting, so all I can talk about is how zippers hate me.

Anyways Reader, this story leads to my lack of success in purchasing a coat this year. I was at the counter about to purchase a coat… when I tried the zipper and it got STUCK. And of course, as luck would have it, this defective zipper was attached to the only coat of this size and style in a 30 mile radius. So no coat for Rachel.

At least not yet. Here are the other options I am battling between. All of these coats are around the same price range, so I would really appreciate your votes. Seriously, I can’t decide.

Option A.) BEBE Longer Belted Fur-trim Jacket

    Bebe Jacket

This coat should be relatively warm (Polyester / down fill) and is reasonably cute for a puffer. Though, please keep in mind that I go to school in Iowa, Reader. Is this an “Everyday-Sit-on-the-ground” coat? I don’t know.

Option B.) GUESS Wool Coat IN BLACK

    Guess Wool Coat

Now, Reader, this coat might look familiar to you– and if it does: KUDOS TO YOU! This probably means that you have read my blog more than once! It was posted in a previous entry. Anyways, I REALLY like this coat in white– but I’m Rachel and I can’t own anything white. So I would get it in black. I like that it is simple and chic, but I would believe it is much less warm, and of questionable quality, since the crappy coat zipper I mentioned above was from the same store.

Option C.) NORTH FACE Nuptse Ski Jacket (BLACK)

    North face

Yes. This coat is very questionably cute, but would be undoubtedly warm. I don’t like the no-hood factor, but this is a useful coat that I could keep for a long time. Not cute- but practical. (Reader, I realize practical must be unusually shocking.)

Option D.) PERRY ELLIS Hooded Toggle Coat (Black)

    Perry Ellis coat

This is a more sophisticated coat. I don’t have much experience with Perry Ellis, but I would imagine that the coat would be of reasonable quality. It’s made out of a wool / cashmere blend, but I wonder how warm it would actually be. Again, would this coat be rugged enough to follow me around everyday? I don’t know.

Reader(s), I REALLY hope that you actually vote and help me out. I would even give you extra points if you gave me other possible suggestions. +14,503 points if you recommend something I actually buy. It would be immensely helpful to have some more opinions on my (oh-so-important) outerwear decision.

THANKS READER!

LOVE,

Rachel

P.S. New Years Eve is coming! But it is likely that there won’t be any pretty pictures because I was dumb enough to leave my precious Cam-Cam in Rockstar-Ryan’s car.
