I bought my first lighter about 45 minutes ago, and NO:

I just bought a lighter so I could light my candle! It was actually kind of scary to buy a lighter, even though I am so legal, I was still concerned there was some unknown lingo to purchasing a lighter.

Anyhow, the moral story of this experience is that, apparently there is no special lingo to purchasing a lighter, and again, no I do not smoke.
