This weekend was a SHOPPING SUCCESS!! Not only did I purchase two (2) pairs of pants, (which, is VERY difficult since I am like < 5′) I also(!) purchased another six (6) tops! I also got my nails done. YAYAY! (Wow, I am such a chick.)

Anyhow, one of the things that I always keep in mind when shopping is my one shopping commandment:

* The price of an item is not in the actual dollar amount, but the dollar amount per use:

RACHEL’S PRICE CALCULATION = :

($ amount) / (# of times you use the item)

So, that means purchasing a classic, pricier designer bag may be a better investment compared to a $7 “Bargain Bin Bag” that you use once.

Using this price calculation, I have been curious as to how much each day of my life actually costs… i.e.

(the daily price of my clothes) + (the daily price of my shoes) + (the daily price of my house / 4 people) + (the daily price of my tuition) + (the daily price of my shampoo / makeup / etc.)

I may do a rough estimate before the summer ends…. I’ll get back to you :).
